"NARROW READING" AND VOCABULARY DEVELOPMENT
1. NARROW READING
- Do a Google search for "5 things you didn't know about..."
- Find an article that interests you, read it, and post the URL here.
- Be prepared to provide a few interesting highlights from the article.
- Try to think of a similar article that you would like to write.
2. WRITING FROM READING
- Choose a topic to write a "5 things you didn't know about..." article.
- As you choose different sources to gather information, also note down vocabulary.
- Notice that many lexical items are repeated across many different websites.
- Write your article, and post it to your blog. Also include images if appropriate.
